
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) refers to a company's responsibility to its stakeholders in its business operations. To realize its commitment to social responsibility, an enterprise must not only take the interests of its shareholders into account, but also those of other stakeholders such as employees, consumers, suppliers, the local community and the environment. An enterprise's fulfillment of its social responsibility and its contribution to the community has, in recent years, become one of the key benchmarks by which its performance is judged by the international community.
Environmental protection has always been an important issue at IST Group. While the pursuit of profit is an important corporate goal, at IST Group, the priority is on balancing the pursuit of profit with fulfilling our corporate social responsibility. IST Group's approach to promoting environmental protection is to completely combine our business objectives with environmentalism. By helping our clients quickly adapt to the requirements of increasingly stringent and complex environmental legislation, we work together with our clients to develop total solutions that will help them face the engineering challenges brought about by the Green movement.
Among current environmental issues, "energy conservation and carbon reduction" has now become the most important problem facing the world today. In this, IST Group has been leading by example in actively cooperating with the government's energy-saving and carbon reduction policy. We have applied for the Industrial Development Bureau's "2008 The Promoting Project for Integrated Application of Industrial Low Carbon Technology" to participate in the research and development of carbon reduction technologies. We are also actively assisting major enterprises with reducing their greenhouse gas emissions. The next step is for more transparency among domestic enterprises in their greenhouse gas emission data and the adoption of emission reduction policies to help slow Global Warming. By working together to reduce the emission of greenhouse gases in Taiwan, we can help slow Global Warming and do our part for the environment.
